that's contemporary was created to establish a network between the protagonists of contemporary art in the city: the public, galleries, museums, cultural organizations, non-profit spaces, publishers, magazines and foundations. The aim is to promote awareness of and access to the contemporary art scene for a wider audience using creative technology and communication.

Started in September 2011, the project is based at Milan's Careof DOCVA Viafarini and runs the website www.thatscontemporary.com, which won the 2012 European Design Awards first prize. For MiArt 2013 we launch That's App for iPhone and Android thanks to the support of Rottapharm | Madaus.

In addition to information platforms, we create products and events with a focus on communication. Our work takes place between art spaces and in close dialogue with artists, engineers and cultural experts. Through their contributions we seek to transform the art space into an arena for encounters and dialogue.

that's contemporary has established partnerships with Museo del Novecento, Start Milan, Careof DOCVA Viafarini, Alfabeta2, Theater i and exibart. Together we have organized and curated projects including The Art Pacemaker, Education Lab, S.A.V.E. Milan and Accade Una Notte d'estate a Milano. Growing internationally, that's contemporary now has a London office sponsored by Camden Town Unlimited and the Mayor of London.
