to Nov. 15, 2020

4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

On September 22nd at 5 pm artist Zehra Doğan will have a performance entitled "Dress"

How has the body become a prison for women when it should be considered a part of who we are and not just a form of possession? How was it possible to transform biology into ideology? How have human beings, by defining themselves through their bodies, closed themselves in sexist norms.

Kurdish carpets, cloths and maps, menstrual blood, urine and natural mixtures: on these supports and with these materials Zehra Doğan painted, consciously - and not only by constraint - from traditional Western canons, to talk about female identity and body.
